Scope and content
Contains correspondence on the Killian Commission's proposal for an International Institute for Science and Technology. James Killian's commission investigated various sites in the United Kingdom, but government assistance was not forthcoming. In 3/63 Peter Thorneycroft, the Minister of Defence, begins to take an interest in the venture. William Nierenberg revives the idea in the United States. Assistance from other European countries is needed before support would be available in the United Kingdom.
