SZ thanks Cockcroft for sending a copy of a letter from Nierenberg to Killian [SZ/CSA/67/17]. SZ describes the outcome of a meeting he attended with Thorneycroft and Hailsham. Thorneycroft was not convinced that the United Kingdom was a desirable location for the furthering of Killian's proposals for an Institute of Science and Technology.
