Contains three letters to the Editor of The Times. The first letter by Buck, Walder and Lloyd discusses the national debate on defence questions. The second letter, by J.C. Slessor, comments on the erroneous idea that the demise of aircraft carriers would mean the eclipse of the Royal Navy. The third letter, by Onslow, asks what the Generals think of the abandoning of aircraft carriers, and if they are happy that their soldiers go ashore with no air support save that of one hundreds of miles away.
