Scope and content

Preston estimates that between five and 20 percent of the productivity capacity of farm machinery is dissipated through farmers employing faulty methods or through minor imperfections of machinery design. To solve this, Preston advocates a Farm Work Study Institute. SZ is asked to suggest that farm work study might properly be centred, for research purposes, on the new Agricultural, Horticultural and Forestry Training Board.
