United Kingdom. Parliament. House of Lords. Select Committee on Science and Technology. Sub-Committee on Coastal Pollution
Describes the concerns of the Select Committee on Science and Techology of the handling of the "Torrey Canyon" disaster. The sense of unpreparedness is underlined. Steps to prevent a future disaster should be taken and oil tankers should be fitted with special radio and radar equipment to prevent collisions which occur at a rate of two a week. A research programme put forward by SZ is mentioned in point form.
