Kendrew had spent four weeks in China and had visited two zoos which were well supplied with pandas. He mentions SZ's failed liaison with Moscow and wonders why active exchange agreements could not take place between zoological gardens as they do with botanical gardens. He encloses a "reminder of a possible source of supply." [Not included].
