Mentions that Snowden Marshall had returned to the United Kingdom with 1,500 lb. of railway records. A.P.D. Thomson returned with him on temporary duty. Williams would be pleased if Thomson managed to stay in England should he be able to arrange his transfer. Williams was keeping the Bombing Survey Unit in exsistence with Angles, Calcutt and Smith. Stevens would be the administrative officer.
The war in the Mediterranean theatre continues and the policy for strategic bombing is not constant. Williams remarks that it is difficult to influence policy "under the present set-up of the Command".
