Thomson asks SZ not to worry if the transfer does not materialise. Emmens expected to complete the work by the end of the month. Thomson was expecting a posting any day to a medical unit. He recommends Hawker, Vine, Wise and Cutting for any work which SZ may have which requires long hours. Thomson offers his services to SZ for after the war, and discusses the way in which he may be of service, and how he could prepare himself. He asks SZ to drop a note to his mother in Glasgow, Mrs Robert Thomson.
