SZ had spoken to Palmer who had provided him with the latest news of the Bombing Survey Unit. SZ requests more material to be sent back to England. He enquires about the material on the Messina bombing and the bombing of Battigaplia and Eboli. SZ also asks about the results of the 4,000 lb. bombs, and the survey of smoke bombs. He apologises for not having managed to transfer Thomson. The War Office had assessed that because of his medical qualifications, Thomson should be trained to medical work.
