Briefs Stradling on the Bombing Survey Unit party's progress. Half of them are operating in Palermo, the other in Messina. A lack of motor transport and clerical help is being experienced. The enormous wealth of material available has resulted in SZ rejecting objectives for the investigation. Communication is difficult with messages taking 48 hours between Palermo and Messina, and shipping material to the United Kingdom is more lengthy than previously anticipated. SZ had written to Le Gros Clark to suggest that Dr Spicer join them.
