Wigglesworth, Walter Somerville, 1906-1972
Critique of a paper by [W.S.] Wigglesworth in which he had been "invited to state reasons for the high vulnerability of these objectives" [locomotive servicing facilities]. With MS corrections and marginal marks and notes. The critique refutes Wigglesworth's arguments and in answer to its own question "do we feel that the successful attack [in support of Operation Overlore] against, say, half the targets suggested will still achieve serious delay" to traffic to France concludes that "the lessons learnt from the successful attacks of railways in Africa, Sicily and Southern Italy should not be made the basis of a plan for the attack of the extensive railway system of N.E. France, Belgium, Holland and Western Germany, without the most careful examination of the comparative set-up."
