Vasse refers to SZ's visit on the morning of 4/2/44 and forwards a paper prepared by the Ministry of War Transport at the request of the Air Ministry on the subject of the relative priority of railway targets [SZ/AEAF/1/8/1a]. Vasse remarks upon the similarity of its conclusions to those of SZ's analysis of attacks on Italian railways. He concludes by reporting that "our BC papers 39 (Attacks on Railways) and 49 (Attacks on Road Communications), are being revised in the light of the conclusions which have been confirmed by your report and appropriate amendments to BC 45 (Types of Bombs for Various Land Targets) are being promulgated".
