Analysis of a report of a ground survey of bombing of Isgny, Canentan, Valognes, Etienneville, and St Sauveur, conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the attacks in blocking road traffic. The general conclusion was that in "only one case was effective blocking accomplished and then not for long."

Tindal recommends that since "troublesome road interdictions could be accomplished by attacking the highway outside the town even in flat country... such interdiction tactics be employed in future operations."
