Annotated "copy to J.C.P.". The letter includes a re-draft of paragraphs 13 and 14 [of 'A View on Planning'?] which relate to an International Bank, an international currency, exchange rates, and "world prices" for commodities, for Nicholson's consideration. Smith explains in detail his reasons for the revision, making reference to the roles of the United States and U.S.S.R. and citing the production and trade in wheat as an example. In a ms postscript, addressed specifically to Jack Pritchard, Smith writes that he believes his draft "lessens the opposition without avoiding the issue. I hope that we are in agreement - price policy is fundamental." The re-draft has been annotated in ms [by Jack Pritchard?].
