Referring to their divergent outlooks at that period, he having "emerged from periods in Egypt and South Africa in the 1930's as a pretty dyed-in-the-wool Tory in the immediate pre-war years", Lindsay finds it "difficult to read the reprint on Planning ['A View on Planning'?] without distrust."
