Pritchard voices concern at the terms of reference of the Furniture Party, of which Dalgleish is chairman. He is concerned that their investigations are limited to wooden furniture, to the exclusion of all other materials. The housing shortage could not be solved by approaching it solely from the standpoint of brick construction, says Pritchard by way of comparison. He asks Dalgleish to raise the question of widening the terms of reference, if only for the design sub-group, with [Stafford Cripps] the President of the Board of Trade. Two copies.
