Scope and content

Initially the competition was hoped to coincide with Lawn Road Flats' 21st anniversary on 14/7/55. Students of universities, Schools of Art, Architecture or Technology were invited to "discover a means whereby they can present a `portrait of a building' with a dimension in time as well as in space." Any art medium, two or three dimensional, could be used. The announcement of the competition was drawn up but the competition was then postponed.
