Knight reports on a case won by a tenants' organisation and illustrates how the value of provided furnishings in a flat determine whether it is considered to be furnished or not. Unfurnished flats which have had rent increases since December 1965 will have to revert back to the original figures as it contravenes the 1965 Rent Act. Knight refers to further information required to gain the assurance of his bank, Lloyds Bank Ltd, so that they will financially back him in the venture.
