Jack Pritchard discusses the work of Wells Coates and the commissioning of Lawn Road Flats. He briefly discusses Isokon [Furniture Company Ltd] and the involvement of Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer, Egon Riss and Ernest Race in designing the Isokon Long Chair, Isokon Penguin Donkey, the Bottleship, and the Gull. Lecture chaired by Lord [Paul] Reilly. Lecture probably given in conjunction with the '1930s' RCA exhibition and the Hayward Gallery 1979-1980. Paper dated 4/11/79.
