PC had been given a part in the play ‘Blithe Spirit’.
PC sends photographs of Hohenzollern fairy like castle in the Black Forest, and office colleagues Bunny [Beryl Beswick], Helene Lallemand and Pete.
Peter and Friedl [Friedel] had take her out to dinner since she had eaten very little while Wolf was away.
Hanna had delayed her return from Paris due to illness.
Mac’s sister had married a German doctor and was living in Germany. “I take my hat off to anyone who can marry a German and stay in Germany.” By marrying before January 1949 Vjera loses her British citizenship. “All the men are madly getting married before January, so that their wives become British citizens automatically and all the girls after January to retain their British nationality."
It is difficult to obtain literature however she reviews Ulysses.
She describes an evacuation after a bomb was discovered by a roadworker.
