Refers to the photos already sent. “I thought you would be interested to know what Wolf looked like, too, having heard his name so much.” She is lonely as Hanna is in Paris and Wolf interpreting for a Commission in Copenhagen.
PC describes an enclosed photo taken by Piilani and the man is her husband, Sigi Ramler, who is Chief of the Interpreting Branch. The photo was taken as they were waiting to board the ferry across the Bodensee to Constance. [Photo no longer enclosed].
She’d bought a wool dress in a German shop, without using coupons. “You can buy any clothes you want now, including fur coats.”
She [and Wolf] had spent a weekend in Munich visiting a sculptor (Uti), an artist (Fietz) and a photographer (a friend of Picasso).
PC was auditioning for the part of Elvira in ‘Blithe Spirit’, with the Little Theatre Company.
