TRANSCRIPTS OF RICHARD MEINERTZHAGEN'S CORRESPONDENCE AT THE BRITISH MUSEUM (NATURAL HISTORY)
Contained in an envelope. Transcripts by Jonathan Elphick of Meinertzhagen’s correspondence with the British Museum. Includes police reports. Letters from 1919 concern Meinertzhagen’s banning from the Bird Room in the British Museum. Letters from the 1930s concern Meinertzhagen and a missing book from the British Library. Letters from 1947 concern the removal of a Greenfinch skin and the shaking out of Mallaphaga (lice) from bird skins.
