Note card, 28/11/2015. MS. Kerstin had read about Reacher getting caught in a blackout in New York in 1977 (‘High Heat’). She is surprised that he did not know how to light a match singlehandedly from a book of matches. She sends LC a book of matches with instructions on how to light a match with one hand. She hopes he might master this technique for future occasions.
She was sorry to find out that Sam was not Reacher’s daughter, “she was intelligent and delightful.”
