Franklin (or Frank) thanks LC for the signed copy of ‘Without Fail’, he includes a copy of the signature where LC has written “I promise to write faster!” Franklin had met LC at the Mystery Books book-signing where LC shared his work habits, his analysis of Reacher (his motivations and how he relies on common sense and logic) and other characters, and his plans for the future. Franklin suggests the title ‘Instinct’ for a future book.
