Memorandum, David Highfill (editor at G.P. Putnam’s Sons Publishers) to LC, 21/1/1998. David forwards Bruce Sweeney’s letters. “He’s got something interesting to say about Reacher’s background.”
Letter, 3/1/1998. MS. 3 leaves. With additional covering letter from Bruce (1 leaf) and envelope. Bruce sees the development of a great character in Reacher and ‘Killing Floor’ could be the “first in a terrific series.” However he would like to share a couple of corrective observations before the series goes forward. The lengthy letter analyses Jack Reacher’s background and military career.
Throughout Bruce’s letter he refers to LC as Mr Craig.
