Reacher, Jack (fictitious character) -- Brother
Letter, 17/7/1997. TS. Andi runs ‘Piece of Mind Books’ in Illinois. She had read ‘Killing Floor’ when it was only available as an advanced reading copy. She found it hard to contain her enthusiasm from her customers until the actual book came out. “It is the best book I have read this year. Even though Jack Reacher’s background is still largely a mystery, I found he was a character I really cared about. And the mystery was wonderfully challenging …” She mentions a review she came across which referred to it as “A possible classic.” She hopes LC keeps writing as she wants to read more of his work, and it’s good for business.
Card, 24/9/1998. MS. With 2 photos. Andi thanks LC for visiting her store. She includes a photograph of herself with LC in the store with copies of ‘Die Trying’ and another of LC with fan Bobbi Ragan. The photos were taken on 26/7/1998.
Letter, 10/12/2001. TS. With envelope. Andi loved ‘Without Fail’, it came very close to displacing ‘Die Trying’. She enjoyed the deep and complicated relationship between Jack Reacher and his brother Joe. Andi thought it a perfect touch that LC dedicated the book to his own brothers.
