Letter, 23/9/2004. TS. With envelope. Edward cannot read hardback because he is old and his wrists tire easily. Having just finished reading ‘Persuader’ he is glad to at last find out what drove Jack Reacher to end his military career. “The death of Dominique Kohl had to be a terrible trauma for him.” Until then Edward had not understood why Reacher had left a career which he obviously loved.
