Dianne Hansen (Minn.)
1999-2005
Letter, 18/8/1999. MS.
Letter, 9/9/2000. MS. Dianne thanks LC for his response. She’s inquisitive as to how LC dreams up his criminal characters. Dianne works as a clerk in law enforcement. She has come across criminals who’d rather turn themselves in on a warrant in the afternoon, so they can spend a night in jail and don’t have to get up early.
Letter, 19/9/2005. MS. 2 leaves. With envelope. ‘The Enemy’ brought back memories of her late husband who was drafted in 1966 to Augsburg [Germany]. “It was a different world then, before terrorism, the Olympics.” Her cousins were sent to Oklahoma, one was a POW. She visited East Berlin in 1968, “so privileged to be American (unlike today, oh well …) but your book reminded me of those special times.” Dianne tells of her travels with her partner as well as on her own in Berlin and England.
