It shows Moscow; Robert Mathew; Siberia; Outer Mongolia; Peking; co-operative farming; Chungking (wartime capital); a monastery; a research station and land use; state farms; a trip down the Yangtze River; Wanhsien (river port); the first bridge across the river under construction; Hengyang (S.E. central China); Canton and Canton river; a train trip to Shumechum; a visit to Thermofor Catalytic Cracking Unit; and a nursery school.

Part 2: Miscellaneous film recordings by JH, 195- to 197- (67 min). Shows farm life at Blyford Estate: ploughing, filling the pond at Watermill Farm, sailing on the pond, vegetable harvesting, farm buildings, burning of brush, delivering of feed, the grain silo, views of the Watermill, a Friesland cow herd, and Linda Hill grooming horses.
