Collection of cine films copied by the East Anglian Film Archive onto video cassette in 2002.

In two parts. Part 1: 'New China via Moscow' (25 min.) Covers JH's parliamentary trip to China in 1956. See also JH/PHO/5/5, JH/TRA/5/2 and JH/TRA/5/3. It shows Moscow; Robert Mathew; Siberia; Outer Mongolia; Peking; co-operative farming; Chungking (wartime capital); a monastery; a research station and land use; state farms; a trip down the Yangtze River; Wanhsien (river port); the first bridge across the river under construction; Hengyang (S.E. central China); Canton and Canton river; a train trip to Shumechum; a visit to Thermofor Catalytic Cracking Unit; and a nursery school.

Part 2: Miscellaneous film recordings by JH, 195- to 197- (67 min). Shows farm life at Blyford Estate: ploughing, filling the pond at Watermill Farm, sailing on the pond, vegetable harvesting, farm buildings, burning of brush, delivering of feed, the grain silo, views of the Watermill, a Friesland cow herd, and Linda Hill grooming horses. Floods in Blyford; a shoot; Linda at a Riddlesworth School sports day; JH playing tennis; London; sailing of 'Capricorn', and Edward Seago painting on the boat and around Windsor; a funfair; Windsor Castle; the sailing of a boat to an island and the rounding up of cattle there; Thermofor Catalytic Cracking Unit; pre-school children at play in [China?]; aerial views of [China?]; Conservative Party offices and the campaign for keeping Britain in Europe; [Conservative Party?] tea and country fair, with JH delivering an address, the Farmers' Club at the [Royal Norfolk Show?].
