Edna lived next door to AH when they were younger. Edna is a friend of AH’s sister, Audrey. Audrey is the mother of Andrew Bennett. AH relates what he remembers of his mother who died when he was 11 years old. AH’s five sisters are: Ethel, Audrey, Eve, Barbara and Lydia. He was the last born, some seven years after the birth of his youngest sister.
