Scope and content
Chapter XIII of 'Hatchard Haleworthy' continues some 12 leaves into this notebook on 16/1/48. Previous to this is poetry from 14/5/41 – March 1942. This includes a poem to Helen (AH’s daughter) on her 25th birthday.
Following the poems is an account of the loss of the ‘Yarmouth Steam’. Chapters I-IV, 21/11/42.

OPENING THE BOOK FROM THE OTHER SIDE:
“(29/3/49) 24/7/49 The Norwich Faustus - a comedy in three acts.
Insert: A note to Mr Walter in which AH is trying to recast his SS Bohemia. (Two leaves).
Insert: Seventh set of exercises (1): write-up of Bohemia, Here I Come! 13 p.
Insert: “He lay in bed, pouncing on the odd mosquito …” p.7. Refers to Vera.
