This is the unpublished biographical work on Harold Holt which Ronald Titcombe wrote prior to knowing AG. It was re-worked by AG and published as The Prime Minister Was a Spy in 1983.

The box includes a draft manuscript by RT; research papers; RT’s letter to AG in which he asks AG to look at his manuscript; AG’s account of his initial reaction to the manuscript in which he thought HH required a novel rather than a biography; and AG’s extensive notes about the manuscript.

The red ring-binder contains another copy of the unpublished draft. No title is given but presumed to be The Ministerial Mole. Chapters include Wesley College, The Birth of Duplicity, China to 1918, China to 1967, Prime Minister, The Last Days.
