Scope and content
Press-cuttings books of reviews of productions in Norwich theatres for the 20th century to c. 1980. The Williams volumes are deposited in the Norfolk Studies Library, with a microfilm version held at UEA Library. Programmes, mostly from Norwich, but including a few from other Norfolk towns and from some London theatres for the late 19th century.
Postcards and photographs of peformers and of some venues, chiefly relating to Geat Yarmouth, from the early 20th century.
Miscellaneous items relating to Norfolk/East Anglian theatre, including unpublished histories of Gilbert's Circus in the Agricultural Hall, Norwich, and of Great Yarmouth Hippodrome - possibly the first purpose-designed indoor circus to be built in England.
