Scope and content
SZ was involved with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF, now the World Wide Fund for Nature) from its inception in 1961, and was instrumental in securing the substantial donation from Jack Cotton that marked the launch of the British National Appeal. In August 1962 SZ became a member of the Fund's Advisory Panel and in the following year a member of the Advisory Council of the Fund's Wildlife Youth Service. The contents of the series are focussed chiefly on the years 1961-1967 and 1970 and are concentrated in files SZ/WWF/2 and SZ/WWF/6.
