Gregory, Richard Arman,
British Association for the Advancement of Science -- Division for the Social and International Relations of Science
Early in 1941 Henry Melchett, and other members of Tots and Quots, tried to set up a science-news service in order to bring American and British scientists into closer contact. The idea, which could not be pursued far by Tots and Quots, was referred to the Social and International Division of the British Association, which in turn referred it to the Ministry of Information.
Includes agendas, reports and minutes of the Division for the Social International Relations of Science. A charter of scientific fellowship is included by the President Sir Richard Gregory. Circular letters to members are also present. A note at the beginning of the file states that most papers were sent to the Ministry of Defence, in 1964.
