Refers to Sir John Anderson's incorrect estimate of the Nazi bomber strength. The Government expected Hitler's bombers to inflict up to 15,000 casualties every night, but casualties during 28 days of heavy bombing amounted to less than 20,000. An error of 2,000 per cent.
