Explosions -- Physiological effect -- In shelters
Mentions casualties suffered in Spain. The victims were dead yet only showed "a drop or two of blood on the lips and petechial haemorrhages". It is suggested that those deaths could have been prevented if they had been sheltering slightly below the surface of the ground. The Anderson shelter, above the ground, does not save one from these blast effects.
