Scope and content

Concerns the possibilities regarding the proposed further investigation of naval battle casualties. Two objections are raised to Burns' method of securing information from patients admitted to hospital with splinter wounds and displacement injuries. The sample is thought to be biased and the accuracy and quality of accounts questionable. A suggestion is made to make enquiries on selected cases of interest and selected groups.
