SZ was going to initiate a series of experiments on devices similar to those which had been seen at Buxton.
SZ requests, on behalf of Lord Cherwell, a cone of explosive to be made. The cone would rest on a plate and the explosion would shatter the plate into predetermined fragments. The velocities of the fragments are to be determined. Cherwell requires a bomb which will discharge its fragments into an expanding cone.
