Payman explains that the Buxton report `Cased Charge XVI' only concentrated on the cylindrical portion of the bomb. The calculated weight was therefore of the metal in the cylindrical portion only.

Payman refers to the mortar shell for which fragments are being weighed. He asks what the nature of it is.

Mr Pilgrim had not been in touch regarding the fragment projector for O.E.M.U. work. He asks if Miss Vidal-Hall had seen Ordnance Board Proceedings No. 21558 dated 5/2/43.
