Scope and content

Payman is asked if his coal dust explosive would work in a mortar shell. SZ had suggested it be used in the "blue" phase of attacks i.e. when troops advance over an area which has been softened by previous artillery fire. The coal dust would constitute little risk to the advancing men and also suggest to the enemy that a real attack was going on.
