Clarifies the misunderstanding surrounding the explosion of cone charges, in particular General Pile's impressions are referred to. SZ stresses that the charges would be outside the tanks, and the blast would be reflected from the outer surface of the tank, and be further insulated by the shielding plate.
SZ would convey Payman's answers to Lord Cherwell concerning the efficacy of his mine abroad, notwithstanding the problems experienced in tropical countries.
SZ would once again try and get the requested steel plates to Payman.
