Encloses a series of surge x-ray photographs with an explanatory table [not included]. These were sent to Southworth by J. Fulton. Southworth quotes from Fulton's letter, which describes the taking of surge x-ray photographs by Newton Harvey. These photographs are instantaneous, and one can visualise a bullet passing through tissue. Fulton describes the photographing of a monkey's skull being fractured.
