World War, 1939-1945 -- Casualties (Statistics, etc.)
Ferrebee, [---?], recipient
Refers to the position regarding a punch card [for assessing data on wounded prisoners]. The OEMU and other organisations had conducted 6 or 7 surveys of field battle casualties in two years. The data was being reviewed to determine whether the information they produced had justified the labour put into them. A paper reporting this was being produced. Further surveys were not expected to follow the lines previously attempted. Ferrebee was asked to wait until the report was available, so that both the punch card and the report could be sent to the Committee on Wound Ballistics in Washington.
