The typical injury from treading on a Schuh-mine is traumatic amputation of one leg only. Two amputated limbs were used to test the protective value of freedom shoes. Preliminary experiments with dummy wooden legs were also performed. Photographs of these trials are at [SZ/OEMU/44/1/6-12].
