The purpose of the tests was to assess the danger of injury to tank crews. Rabbits were placed in cages in a tank and one or more rounds fired at the tank. The injuries suffered by the animals are recorded. Two dummy men were also placed in the tank. Table recording the post-mortem findings, and the positioning of dummies and rabbits, are included.
