Tests, involving the equivalent of 250 kg. bombs, were carried out on Davey shelters with varying degrees of reinforcement. The importance of tying the walls of the shelter to the base was highlighted by the tests. Resistance was further increased by increasing the amount of steel in the arch. Contains diagrams and photographs.
