The bombs in this trial were constructed of grey cast-iron and weighed 1,680 g., and the T.N.T. charge weighed 200 g.. "The bombs were detonated with the axis horizontal and 1 ft. above the ground. Fragments were collected in telephone directories at 5 ft. and 10 ft from the bomb, and notes were made of the depths to which the various fragments penetrated the directories." Fragment mass and fragmentation density were recorded. Graphs are included. One copy consists of 3 leaves as the graphs are diminished in size.
