OEMU Report No. 30a

OEMU Report No. 30b

B.P.C. 147/W.S.12

The report denies the existence of blast concussion. Only in victims where blast has produced more severe, even fatal, head injuries is concussion evident. If an explosion is not strong enough to cause serious head injury it cannot cause concussion. The paper suggests the term blast concussion be abandoned.

Report written by SZ Blake, and Douglas.

Six copies. [SZ/OEMU/21/3/16-18] entitled `Observations on So-Called Blast Cerebral-Concussion' and numbered 30b.
