Air raid shelters -- Design and construction
Beckett, H. E., recipient
SZ is of the opinion that bunks should be fixed in air raid shelters. He suggests that the uprights of fixed bunks may be used as further reinforcements between the roof and floor slabs. Although seamen prefer hammocks, they are not enjoyed by civilians. SZ suggests that netting be used to secure people who may be thrown out of their fixed bunks.
